San Martino a Brozzi

 


We visited Fr. Leszek today who runs the San Martino a Brozzi parish in Florence.  Fr. Leszek is a friend of Ewa's family and originally from Poland.  He had lunch prepared for us and gave a tour of the church grounds.  Today the parish serves as a religious school for all ages but back in the 1960's it served as an orphanage.  The former Priest is still well-known for what he did back then but passed away about 20 years ago.

We asked Fr. Leszek who his favorite character in the Bible was and after taking a moment he answered "God" in Polish with a big smile.  His favorite hobby when not working is following Formula 1 racing.  We really enjoyed our visit with him.
