Oct 22: Jasper-Pulaski

Image
Travelled to Jasper-Pulaski Fish & Wildlife area today.  The Sandhill Cranes were abundant but kept their distance.  Not the case with the largest Vulture I have ever seen which greeted me near the entrance.   Sandhill Cranes official count is already at 3,804. Last year's late November peak grew to 28,652. D7100:  1/500s, f6.3, ISO 140 D700 D700

Oct 8: Rooftop Hawk

Image
Saw this guy on a house rooftop in Tipton Lakes, Columbus,  IN.  Ewa took this with the Nikon A900 sitting in the passenger side of the car, he was probably 50 yards away.  She did an amazing job and got the perfect profile after about 10 pictures.  That small superzoom camera was easier to use in tight quarters.  Comes in very handy. Sept. 11: Pendleton Historical Museum (Nikon D70)

Image
Took a drive on a rainy morning up to the Pendleton Historical Museum.  Used the Nikon D70 for these takes...really like the dynamic range and the different look you get from the CCD sensor. Sept. 2: Pendleton Hawk

Image
Saw this Hawk near Pendleton along SR67.  I just happened to have my camera (lucky) and pulled off the side of the road and was fortunate he stayed perched for several minutes.  Dusk presented challenging low-light conditions for the camera but boosting the contrast and raising light levels of the RAW files helped restore details from the shadows.  Turned out well and was again very fortunate to see one of these Hawks so close up with cameral in hand. Aug 27: Colts vs Bucs

Image
Lucas Oil Stadium: First time in Lucas Oil Stadium with the roof open which really added to the experience of watching the game last night. Remarkable piece of engineering! Game: Brady only played the opening drive last night and marched the Bucs straight down the field going 6 of 8, converting on 4th and 3 and then settling for a field goal. Colts struggled to contain him and after he left the game the Bucs struggled to move the ball. I've always thought the phrase "anyone is replaceable" was a ridiculous statement. People great at what they do constantly prove that they are game changers and irreplaceable. Colts ended up with the win: 27-10 Pictures: Open Roof Night Open Roof adds a lot to the game experience No one does the National Anthem better Tom Brady:  #12 Two of my favorite mascots are Blue Practice Blue Brady Already in the Red Zone Red Zone Matt Ryan Matt Ryan Go Colts!
