HVAC2 + Water Heater + Sump Pumps + Battery Backup + Softener + Water Remediation = $25k

Image
Big Day (Aug 10):  After I discovered a leak in the 2nd Floor HVAC unit, just decided to replace it.  Water heater was 31 years old, so I decided to replace that too.  Battery backup on two new sump pumps will ensure no flooding if power goes out.  The house didn't have a water softener so I needed to add that.  At least my house will be the most efficient running one in the whole area.  This and a new washer and dryer all in one day.   New Amana HE Compressor (right) Water/Moisture Remediation System New washer and dryer Ultra HE Water Heater (heat pump assisted) HE Water Softener New sump pumps with new battery backup

Indy House Updates

Image
The Indy house was painted inside with Sherwin Williams "Agreeable Gray" on all main floor and upstairs walls which Ewa used at the Elgin house.  The "On the Rocks" color was used in the basement which my Aunt and Uncle had used before in their Knoxville home. For hardwood floors, we chose to replace all carpet on the main floor with Natural Red Oak 2 1/4" to match the wood already in the kitchen, although the kitchen floor needed refinished and several boards replaced due to previous damage.
